List of materials you will buy (for a complete list, see Product Description and Pricing posted on the FLL Registration page)
Registration will close when all slots are filled. This usually happens sometime after mid-September. Please note that FLL materials (Robot Set and Field Setup Kit) must be ordered by this deadline, but are subject to product availability. The maximum capacity is approximately 10,500 teams (US and Canada.) We encourage early registration, product ordering, and payment to ensure timely receipt of program materials. FLL Robot Sets and the registration packets (Coaches' Handbooks and introductory DVDs) begin to ship in May. Field Setup Kits begin to ship in August.
Please note that there is a surge in registrations mid-August onward. If you place your order during this time period, you may experience a delay in order processing and not have the kit on-hand at the kickoff.
To register your team(s), go to the FIRST web site https://gofll.usfirst.org/pages/important_registration_information On the FLL Registration Page, you will find important information pertaining to registration, such as steps to complete a team registration, product description and pricing, and contact information.
To ensure that your team's registration and ordering process is correct and complete, and to prevent possible confusion, please take time to carefully read the sections below.
Provide an email address that can receive outside emails. Many school firewalls do not accept outside emails, so check before registering. You may decide to use your personal e-mail.
Register early. A dramatic surge in registration/orders begins mid-August. If you place your order during this rush, expect at least a two-week turnaround for delivery once LEGO Education receives your payment.
We highly recommend that every team purchase the Field Setup Kit early.
Instructions, descriptions and other important information are available on the FLL Team Registration home page for your reference. Please check there first if you have questions.
*Orders*
NOTE: Receiving a team number does not mean your team is registered. Registered teams complete the order process and payment.
Complete your on-line order before sending your PO or Check. Your order is not complete until you click "Place Order" and see an on-line order confirmation on the screen. Print it out and retain it for your records.
The $225 Team Registration fee is mandatory and non-refundable.
The Field Setup Kit purchase is non-refundable.
If you use a purchase order (PO) as the payment method, and the number is not available, enter "TBD" in the PO number field.
Include your team number and Order ID number on the mailed check or faxed or mailed PO. Payment cannot be credited properly without this information.
Shipping and applicable taxes will be added to your invoice.
The Team Registration fee does not include the Field Setup Kit or participation in an event.

Registering a team is a six step process.

Order Confirmation
Please confirm you have completed the entire process to ensure your registration is successful. Once you have completed your order, you will be able to see the order on the "Orders" tab and view your team(s) on the "Team" tab.
IMPORTANT:
We strongly recommend only placing the order for the exact amount of the payment you will be making at one time. Matching payments mailed separately is a very time consuming process and could impact the timely delivery of your products. If you need to send in multiple payments (for example, with a grant that pays only for your registration fee), place separate materials orders that match the full payment amount you are sending.
You are the purchaser & coach:
Please fill out the Team/Organization Information and Coach Information sections of your Team Details and complete the six step registration process. Team and Coach Information sections can be updated at any time after the registration process is completed.
You are the purchaser & not the coach:
If you are not the coach and know who the coach will be
If you are not the coach and know who the coach will be, please fill out the Team/Organization information and required Coach Information sections and complete the six step registration process. Team and Coach Information sections can be edited at any time by the coach once the coach has been assigned.
Please provide the coach’s email address during step 1 of the registration process, "Enter Team Details." The system will send the invitee an automatic e-mail. However, the purchaser will receive email communications and serve as the primary contact for the team until the coach has accepted the invitation.
If you are not the coach and do not know who the coach will be or do not know the coach’s email address
If you do not know the coach’s email address or do not have a coach assigned yet, you can invite the coach after completing the registration process. Please fill out the Team/Organization Information and required Coach Information sections. Team and Coach Information sections can be edited at any time by the coach once the coach has been assigned.
During step 1 of the registration process, "Enter Team Details," answer no to the question, "Are you the coach?" or do not enter the coach’s email address. You will be able to invite the coach anytime after completing the six step registration process. However, the purchaser will receive email communications and serve as the primary contact for the team until another coach is assigned and has accepted the invitation. Once you have identified the coach, you will need his or her email address. Please refer to the Coach Invitation Process to learn more.
